Program Description
This full day program will consist of a half day of in-class learning and a half day of hands-on practical learning. This course is intended for new roof observers and design professionals looking to gain practical knowledge on application techniques they may observe during site reviews and to get insight on the design concepts and components of liquid waterproofing.
8:00 AM-12:00 PM Theory
The first portion of the day will be an in-class learning event on the basics of liquid applied membranes. You will learn about the different types of liquid applied membranes and understand the different assemblies associated with them. You will also learn about the different considerations that are required during the design and the installation of liquid membrane systems. Experienced Roof Observers will discuss observation techniques and case studies.
12:00-1:00 PM Lunch provided
1:00-4:30 PM Practical
The second portion of the day will be the “hands-on” portion of the training. An instructor will demonstrate how to install liquid membranes and some of the other associated components. You will be given the opportunity to try it yourself and show off your roofing skills!
